What this site collects
Only what you type into the contact form or the Ready to start form. The contact form takes your name, your email address and your message. Ready to start also takes your phone number, the municipality where we would train, any scheduling notes, and what you are signing up for. Nothing else. There are no advertising trackers and no analytics scripts on this site.
Where it is stored
Contact form submissions and invoices are stored in a PostgreSQL database hosted by Fly.io in Toronto, Canada. The database record of your information stays in Canada and is not transferred outside it. The emailed copies described below are the exception.
Booking a call
Booking uses Calendly, embedded on the booking section of this page. When that section loads, Calendly receives your IP address and sets its own cookies, and anything you enter when booking goes to Calendly rather than to this site. Calendly is a third party with its own privacy policy.
If you would rather not load Calendly at all, email me instead and we will arrange a time directly.
When you submit the contact form, a copy of your name, email address and message is emailed to me so I can reply. That email is sent through Mailgun, which processes it on my behalf under their privacy policy.
Mailgun processes this email in the United States. So while the database record of your enquiry stays in Canada, the emailed copy does leave the country. If you would rather not have your message handled that way, book a call instead and tell me directly.
Invoices
When you use Ready to start, I email you an invoice and keep a copy. The invoice shows your name, your email address, what you signed up for and the price. It is sent through Mailgun in the same way as the contact form, so the emailed copy is processed in the United States. If I need to confirm a travel fee before sending your invoice, your request, including your phone number, where we would train and any notes you wrote, is emailed to me the same way. Invoices never contain health information, and your scheduling notes are not printed on them.
How long it is kept
Contact enquiries are kept while we are in touch and for two years afterwards, then deleted.
Invoices are kept for six years, because the Canada Revenue Agency requires business records to be kept that long.
Your choices
You can ask what I hold about you, ask for it to be corrected, or ask for it to be deleted. Email hello@trainwithconnie.com and I will action it. I do not sell personal information, and I do not share it with anyone beyond the service providers named above.
